Admissions - Freestanding MPH

Admissions Requirement

Applicants are expected to have a baccalaureate or gradate professional degree in a health care related subject area, and professional experience in public health or health care. The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is required; a request for a waiver from this requirement may be made in writing to the Program Director. Applicants whose native language is not English must score 550 or higher on the Test of English as a Second Language (TOEFL). The TOEFL is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Application Process

Applicants apply for the MPH program through The Graduate School. In addition to the application and application fee, applicants must provide original transcripts of post-secondary schools coursework, letters of recommendation from two faculty members or employers who can address the applicant’s commitment to public health and ability to do graduate level work, and a one-page statement of purpose describing why the applicant seeks an MPH degree.

Application Deadline

Applications and all supplemental materials must be received by The Graduate School no less than six weeks before the start of the quarter.  As the program has a rolling admissions policy, early application is encouraged.
