Culminating Experience

What is the Culminating Experience?

The Culminating Experience (CE) is an opportunity for students to integrate and synthesize material learned in the classroom and to gain experience in the field of public health. MPH students in the combined degree MD/MPH program generally carry out this project during the fourth year of their study. MPH students in the freestanding program generally carry out this project during the last year of their study.

Click on the following items below to learn more about the CE process and application instructions. This is a PDF file that can be viewed and printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The application and site description forms are Microsoft Word documents that you can download to your PC and/or print.

CE Final Paper - Reviewer's Critique Form (pdf)

- This is a reference for students in preparation of the final paper. The MPH Professional Experience Committee uses this "critique form" to evaluate students' Culminating Experience papers. This critique form should give students a sense of what the reviewers will be looking for when critiquing the paper. This should be a useful tool to students in writing and revising their papers before submission.
