Our program creates an integrated approach to help students apply their PhD work in the area of population health. With the combined resources of Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine and The Graduate School, our students will be prepared to address new and evolving challenges at the intersection of Public Health and Medicine.
Life Sciences PhD/MPH (not accepting applications): In partnership with Driskill Graduate Program in Life Sciences (DGP), the Program in Public Health offers the rare opportunity to earn the MPH degree concurrent with a PhD in the life sciences. Graduates of the program have many career options including university and academic medical center laboratories, CDC research labs and non-governmental agencies such as the Joint Commission.
Medical Anthropology PhD/MPH (not accepting applications): This program is designed to prepare graduates for leadership in academic and government institutions in positions requiring expertise in bio-cultural approaches to the study of human health and disease. Graduates of the program have gone on to positions in academic departments of anthropology.
